OK... anyone have any good 'recipes' for washing powder that they have used succesfully in a machine? I won't use cheap supermarket ones on my little girls naps and clothes, but the hypoallegenic/sensitive skin ones are very expensive!!! She has a tendency to dry skin patches so I don't use any creams etc on her.

I'm going to bugger up this thread right at the beginning... sorry...

Amalie... I have heard people swear by soap nuts. Here is the link... it's not a recipe I know!

I make this and it is better than anything on the supermarket shelves for my son's eczema. Gets snelly pooey nappies clean which has to be another good test.

I buy the ecostore liquid wholesale. It last forever. I only use about a tbsp per wash. I wash at 40 degrees too. Front loader does it cheap and easily. Dont think it does a great job on the nappies though so every now and then I was then inserts at 95 degrees with just baking soda.

Maybe try baking soda and white vinegar in the rinse?
