I recently took my son to a wonderful therapist who asked him if he had had dinosaur eggs. Eyes wide and enthralled he said no. Would he like to? Oh yes!!!! She told me what to do and it is a hit here and with friends who had some at our place and took the recipe home.

Bake potatoes in the oven until they are done. One hour at 200 celsius seems to do it nicely. Cut in half and spoon out the flesh into a bowl. Add lashings of butter, some kelp salt and crumble dried wakame into the mixture. Mix up, spoon back into the potto skins and heat through again or serve straight away, depending on how many times you were disturbed by children/telephone during the last bit.

They come out with a flecky appearance and no one yet has disliked them. It is a most pleasurable thing to see my two year old daughter eat at dinnertime...

These sound great Sandra.

How much wakame do you use per potato? I bought some this week but I've not used it before and it smells quite strong!

Yum, I'm doing these tonight. Bought some kelp granules a wee while back haven't known what to do with them. Don't have the wakame though. Just hoping I don't overdo the kelp and put them off completely!

Sorry I only just saw your question tonight Seraphina. I tend to make four potatoes' worth at a time and add several pinches of wakame, which I realise is hopeless as a recipe measure. Maybe one fairly fat pinch of wakame per spud?

That's okay Sandra. I've made them a few times now, they're quite delicious :)
