My friend cant stop burping. No other symptoms, just burps. Non stop. She thinks it could be a lack of stomach acid, or maybe a gluten intolerance.
Could gluten cause burps?
She says she sits up in the morning and burps.
Anyone have any ideas. She says she has gone off dairy, hasnt helped, gone off gluten, hasnt helped. Done probiotics.
She said she had food posioning in Feb and its been since then. Could be the old gut needs some serious work?

When I was doing my stomach acid research yesterday, belching was top of the list for low stomach acid. Mind you, I've been taking HCl since yesterday and am NOW burping and I've never been a burper before! But I haven't had the "burn" from taking them so that would suggest that I am low in SA. DH burps a lot, particularly after he's been lying down so I've got him on them too, will be interesting to see if that improves it.
How long did she stick with the probiotics for?

She did 2 courses of those inner health plus ones. The thing that I find the most interesting is that she got it after having food poisioning. Makes me wonder if he gut ever healed properly from that. She sais she never had the "burn" either. Must be so annoying though. I used to get it when I was pg. Burped heaps. I had really bad heartburn too.

It does sound like gut dysbiosis. I'd be looking at probiotics again, but this time, with mostly raw diet, and cutting out any sugar, or sugar forming foods. I'd be juicing too...
