Its not just Ukraine, Russia is experiencing this, too.

I would say, look at the common 'treatment' measures traditional in the area. Aspirin is still a bestseller (adults especially) for example. Often mixed with two-three other antypiretics. And alcohol. Again, preventive antibiotics are still very popular and ARE AVAILABLE over the counter.

Baxter (and others) may well have contributed but the uptake of whatever vaccines are 'donated' is nowhere near the popularity of the abovementioned.

People who have enough sense not to be pharma slaves, even if get this flu (or whatever it is this season) go through it without pneumonia, doctors, drugs or hospitals.
