Had my two lower wisdom teeth yanked yesterday. Recovery seems to be going just fine. I'm taking extra vitamin C, took one Motrin for pain last night but I won't need any more. Bleeding seems to have stopped.

Any advice to speed recovery? Anything I should watch out for?:popcorn:Not supposed to eat popcorn for a few days! This is a hardship.

You mean, you don't feel you are doing well enough? :thud:

So far...I've got one major problem. One of the back molars has a very sharp edge on it which is cutting my tongue. Either this edge was blocked by the wisdom tooth, or it was chipped during the wisdom tooth removal. This is a holiday weekend, and I have to work Monday, so I'm stuck with a sore tongue for a few days. Otherwise, everything seems to be fine.

Another example of the dangers of an alternative health regime...people keep telling me horror stories about wisdom teeth removal. I think I started out lucky because my mother was eating a healthy diet while carrying me and I ended up with a good dental arch and enough room for all my teeth (except for one that descended behind my front teeth). Impacted wisdom teeth seem to be common and horrid.

Now if I could just resist the junk food!:bonk::doh::spam:

we need some cake, ice cream, soda, cookies, hot dogs potato chip smilies!

you don't need to be stuck with that. Go and buy some 1,200 wet and dry sand paper, and cut it into thin strips then use both ends pulling back and forth, until you smooth the sharp edge down. Go slowly and carefully, and you should have it sorted in about 25 minutes.

I'm willing to try that. No stores were open today and I have to work tomorrow, but I'll stop on the way home and see if I can find the right stuff.

Thanks!
