I have used stevia drops/powder to sweeten my warm drinks. As I think about all the things I ingest, I am pondering the wisdom of ingesting something so processed. It no doubt would make more sense to use the leaves themselves from a bush in my garden. However, it is very convenient to have it ready in a bottle
MIL is also now worried about her sweetners. She eats and drinks everything diet. She asked me about stevia, so I am trying to get something coherent together.

Nothing coherent, because I don't use it.
Water doesn't need sweetening :)

I suspected as much - that you would probably not be using it at all. I can't help but think it is better than aspartame or whatever it is that MIL is using. Although, maybe not. I have no idea what the processing involves.

There's a lot of things that I'm ignorant about. :D

Some brands are more processed than others. Obviously if it's in a tablet or liquid form then it's highly processed however you can buy brands that are just the ground herb. From memory I think Nirvana Organics is one of them, but don't quote me on that!
