the good side of the hot flash

So, I've got this miserable cold. My faithful neti pot has been managing to keep things open, by I had to work today and by the time I finally got home things were seriously clogged up. I finally tried the neti pot, but it simply doesn't work when the plumbing is closed.

Then I had a brainstorm. Every time I have a hot flash, I race to the sink and use the neti pot. For some reason, for me at least, hot flashes momentarily reduce congestion giving me two or three minutes of free breathing. I won't say I'm feeling good, but at least I'm getting rid of some of the gunk...:sun::enlighten::sick0026::chillpill:

Now that we have so many of us grannies around, we need a hot flash smiley.

I'll go search.

I've not had many hot flushes at all this summer. I'm sure it's changing my diet and using Swedish bitters.

Thanks for the smiley suggestions! I didn't think of those, but in the right context they'll work perfectly.

I'm getting fewer hot flashes, so I'd better watch my diet and quit getting colds.
