View Full Version : Second looking into the case of A. Wakefield
William R. Long authored an article that seems to be reliable . Its aim is not to decide on the scientific value of A. Wakefield but
to clear the decks so that his scientific work can be dispassionately consideredHere it is : http://www.wesupportandywakefield.com/documents/AutismFile_US31_Wakefield.pdf

Wow..thanks for posting. Clears up many things. It all seems so simple, yet we know when power and politics are involved, nothing is simple and the truth doesn't really matter. Such a shame.
Thanks cartersmom .
I shall say I had a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MMR_vaccine_controversy#cite_ref-56 . ( and to its talk page !!!) . Don't know how to articulate these two different views !
I just realized the topic had already been tackled in a previous thread : http://beyondvaccination.com/showthread.php?1799-Why-Medical-Authorities-Went-to-Such-Extremes-to-Silence-Dr.-Andrew-Wakefield
I would badly need to reference the statement of W.R. Long that "the MMR vaccination rate began to fall in 1995" [ BEFORE the publication of Wakefield and co.]. Thanks .

I saw that same point made in an article by Dr. Yazbak. Let me see if I can find it.

I'm going to add the link to this page of material by and about Dr. Yazbak:
http://yazbakarticles.wordpress.com/
lots of good material there!
Thanks MinorityView .++++
I am not very at ease with numbers ...and I shall say that the fall in the immunisation rate before 1998 ...is slight . Moreover it should have to be compared to the changes that occurred after 1998 .

I'm not the person to turn to if you want help with statistics, sorry!
Richard Barr described the years he worked as a sollicitor on the MMR Litigation in a document available on his site http://www.richardbarr.org/#/mmr/4511615194
