MECP2 Duplication Syndrome

Hiya,

I met a lady today who has twin boys, one is affected by MECP2 Duplication Syndrome and the other is not. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas for anything that might help this wee boy and his mum?

Do the basics right - that's about it. Lots of breastfeeding, because you never know what stem cells can do from the mother.

Hmmm yes, the boys are 3 years old and I doubt very much she is still breastfeeding or if she ever did. I think she may have trouble with the basics. When I saw the boys they were both sucking on bright blue lollie pops, hardly any clothes on and bare feet. Oh dear, I am sure she loves them both in her own special way.
