Since I already have some background in another thread I'm going to fore go full background here.
My one year old has been on Flagel for it's complete round, Zosyn for just over two weeks, and started on Augmentin after the Zosyn for what was supposed to be another two weeks. The Zosyn and Augmentin were for a gram positive staph infection identified in her throat causing an inflammation turned into an abscess. The Augmentin is causing vomitting and the yeast infection on her rear is worse than ever. I've decided to halt the Augmentin but I'm certain if I consult the doctors on it they will give me a bunch of garbage. I'm also not sure if there will be other issues since there has been statements like "....as ordered by the CDC." as describing her course of treatment.

Can anyone tell me why I need to complete the round of Augmentin?

Thanks.

The very fact that she has thrush is a huge big red light. I would stop it, and tell the doctors that you don't consider napalming her gut resulting in candida take-over, and vomitting a viable option under the circumstances.

The question is, what to do about the thrush. The thrush is happening because the antibiotics have killed all the good bacteria in her gut, particularly the ones that makes vitamin B, which do two things:

provide her with a vitally needed nutrient
keep candida at bay.

Candida is scary stuff, IMO...

"as ordered by the CDC" bunch of dictators

Hmmm...... one day, maybe the CDC will order all doctors to lie under a bullet train.

I can start managing the thrush once I clear the rest out of her system. I have her on some probiotics. Her rear should clear once the gut regains itself.

Is she on a high quality refrigerated probiotic with more than eight strains ?

Not sure if its relevant here but I dont use the kids products where probiotics are concerned. I use the adult powders. I also make up kefir for the kids to drink as well as home made yogurt with probiotics added. Its good to give them a prebiotic with the probiotic too, like banana.

heal her gut.
if she has thrush, it'll hinder her bodies ability to fight any infection.

Haa!! I love it. In my little crunchy circle we refer to the CDC as the Center for Disease and Death and the FDA as the Fraud and Death Administration. http://www.vaclib.org/vaxworld/emma/img002.jpeg.html
