Hello from Ohio, USA! I'm Angela, married to my lovely husband, and mommy to two little ones. My son is five, and turning six too soon! My daughter is 2 and perfectly delightful.
My son was fully vaccinated. I refused one vaccination around two years old after the doctor tried to tell me it was PERFECTLY okay to vaccinate him when he was sick with pneumonia that the doctor wanted to hospitalize him for (I refused, instead I cared for him extensively round the clock).
After that I started doing my research - more to prove that the doctor was right and I was an idiot. Somehow I got the opposite results I set out for. We have since denied Ryan's "school shots" at his 5 year check up.
By the time my daughter came around, I knew I didn't want to do ALL the vaccines, but I felt some were important. The second round she started having seizures. She never got another shot, and never will, but the seizures continued to haunt us until very recently. Two years of seizures, turning blue, and terrifying me to death...and it looks like it is finally over!
My son is diagnosed autistic, and my daughter has some sensory issues (likely from her prematurity) which affect her hearing sometimes in substantial ways. They are both doing well and we're all happy, though very busy.
