It was mentioned in another thread about adrenal fatigue (http://www.naturalnews.com/019339.html)which had me looking into it further as I identified with a few of the symptoms.

Looking at the list I seem to check out for quite a few of the symptoms and have been noting when the fuzzy/unclear head clears (generally not long after eating food), my tired times of the day (all day tiredness, but hit a mid afternoon fatigue spot and then a 2nd wind after 10pm and make myself go to bed before midnight), I get dizzy on standing (and/or an instant headache and have a low-grade headache 24/7 and have for years) amongst other things. I recall talking to a doctor in my early 20's about the low blood pressure issue on standing and being referred to a neurosurgeon for a basic appt around the same time about the headaches with no cause (I had been suffering every day migraines which the doctor couldnt' get to go away). I never used to have all-day tiredness until the past month which I think is in relation to stress of my DS having health issues of his own.

Has anyone else been down this track? I have stocked up on the listed supplements (magnesium/calcium (a reverse mag/cal supplement with higher mag), Vit E, Vit C (SA) and a B complex and been taking them for about 4 days so far - in fact, had identified a few of these as being in need prior to coming across adrenal fatigue so this just pushed me into action. I also need to remember to add seasalt to my diet - I just don't cook with it and never have and because we're cooking from scratch for the most part we're getting minimal through other natural sources.

My DP suffers from adrenal exhaustion. It makes the world of difference when he takes a B Complex. He takes a high dose... in the vicinity of 500mg across the majority of B vits. He also finds Kava helps

There is a wonderful root food from south America called Maca which can reverse adrenal burnout and balance hormones.
Well worth looking into for this problem.

My mother has this. I'll ask her what she took for it. She had seen the naturopath for it. Funny, I take a mag:cal 2:1 supplement. I used to get headaches and migraines a lot, but not anymore.

Some herbs are commonly recommended too but the only one that pops into my mind this morning is Withania. Google will sort that out though. :)

I think--still not sure--it was rosemary that he gave her. Well, and a few other things in small proportions. Cayenne and ginger being a couple of them.

Thanks will look further into those suggestions.

Well today was my first day without the all day tiredness nor the afternoon slump. I'm not sure that only taking the vitamins for a week would make a difference though?

Could also be that my body is coming down from being on stress-alert and my state of mind is happier about DS and consequently things could be balancing out on their own.

Have cut my tea addiction down to 2 cups a day now (morning and after dinner) and replaced two afternoon drinks with more water, a liquorice tea and a redbush tea. I still really wanna a cup of black tea during the day, but will hang in there.

sometimes it's very hard to know what is what, but I've been on this no sugar no wheat for months now, and once I week I try something forbidden. And usually pay. Exactly 6 hours later, with a face break out. So that ruins the next few days. It's getting easier to stick to it now.

I struggle with all the working out what is what. I also find to further compound matters that it depends where I am on my cycle as to what I crave eating that I shouldn't be eating. Or maybe how much food I even feel like eating.

One thing I came across in the metals & the mind article in Wisetraditions was that taking vitamin C can be harmful while you are detoxing the metals. The exact quote was "By the way, Vitamin C can act as a stimulant. Often when people go on a nutritional program, they hate being told to take less vitamin C, because they have become so dependant on high doses and they don't think they should take less. But that is what is keeping them revved up and ultimately wiping them out".

ETA: I am not at all sure about the vit C thing above myself.

But that is what is keeping them revved up and ultimately wiping them out". whatever that means.... ultimate oxymoron isn't it? Keeps them revved up AND wiped out???

I wonder if any of them have read Clemetson's texts? Or Steve Hickey's book....Or Thomas Levy's... and so on.....

That has been my gut instinct on the article. Maybe I should post you a copy as I have a few spare mags.
