Does anybody know of any successors/ideological descendents of Robert Mendelsohn? I'm reading some of his books, but a lot of the specific information is outdated. I have a lot of questions about the state of medicine thirty years later, and I don't know where to find the answers.

I suppose in an American sense, Mendelsohn's "heirs" were Mayer Eisenstein and Jay Gordon.

Things were very different in the medical world in Mendelsohn's heyday, and the pharmaceutical companies grip of short and curlies, wasn't nearly as vice like as today.

So it's far more unlikely that there will be a suitable heir with the intestinal fortitude of mendelsohn, so it's up to us to fill the gaps ourselves.

Sigh. I'll look up Eisenstein & Gordon. Thanks for the tip.

How would I find out whether lab tests today are as unreliable as Mendelsohn warned?

My arm & my wallet agree: they would like to learn from others' personal experience. ;o)
