On April First, Dr Jay Gordon released a fake press release “from” the American Academy of Pediatrics, “announcing” that they were severing ties with the infant formula industry. In on the joke, a few people contacted the AAP, po-faced, to ask them if it was true. The AAP was Not Amused at Gordon’s political satire. They have issued a legal threat alleging defamation, and claiming that the satire caused “confusion and alarm”.
shame on Dr. Gordon! How could he?

I sent the AAP an admiring e-mail, thanking them for severing their ties with the formula manufacturers and saving the lives of countless babies.

As an enthusiastic proponent of breastfeeding, I was delighted to see that the AAP is severing their links with the baby formula pushers. It is about time. Thank goodness. This action will save the lives of countless babies.
Sincerely,

:LMAO: Brilliant! I love the Hoydens.
The corporate sponsors page is rather interesting. Because McDonalds, Merck, Nestle and co always have the best interests of children at heart

and another good one:

the AAP really messed themselves up with this one...
"You cannot say that we are going to start acting ethically!"
The AAP has asked the owners of the original email list to remove Dr. Gordon's spoof post. They sent the list a letter from their attorney.
The AAP is PISSED! Gordon make them look the fools, and they know it.
:LMAO: I love it!

Jay and I have been talking about this. It's been successful beyond anyone's calculations. The AAP (Angry Antiquated Ponces) have really shot themselves in the foot.
Actually, the word "ponce" is a very accurate description.

One of the best things is the publication of the AAP page with all the sponsor logos. Now the whole world has seen them proclaiming:
WE HAVE SOLD OUT!

MV I think that sponsor's names only go up if the sponsors agree. I suspect they have far more sponsors than that...

Possibly. But the sponsors whose names are showing are enough to freak people out. McDonald's? Pfizer? and so on.
