Interesting. Answered a few question I had about contagious period prior to symptoms - so really makes the whole "stay away from those who appear sick" to be pointless really. Airports only catching those with fever are too late anyway...

And I was reading elsewhere (Hilary's blog?) that it can live for up to 2 days on a surface - so potentially food in the supermarket, letters in your mailbox, courier packages etc can all be sources on introduction (although I'm thinking that dry smooth surfaces would be less an issue than damp fabrics?).

well, me and the kids had a fun day out for a long walk, playing in our garden, climbing trees and all that good stuff none the less and will continue on in our semi-isolation.

Of course, DH is still out there in public.
