'Tiny Victim of Viral War - the deadly risks of whooping cough are on the rise'

"It's a serious disease that is preventable. It kills over half a million people a year around the world" says the head of the respiratory department at Sydney Children's Hospital, Associate Professor Adam Jaffe......

"....In 2008, NSW Dept. of health reported more than 8300 cases of whooping cough; 6000 more cases than the previous year...."

http://www9.health.gov.au/cda/Source/Rpt_4.cfm (http://www9.health.gov.au/cda/Source/Rpt_4.cfm) says for NSW...
2007 = 2099 cases
2008 = 7876 cases
So that's 5777 more cases, but that's also the diseases natural pattern with increases every 3-4 years.....
2006 = 4197 cases, so you can see the numbers rise and fall - it's not increasing by thousands of cases every year.
2009 = 6251 cases, that's 1625 less than last year (although there's still 7 months of the year left :p )

The next paragraph goes on to say....
"...Despite increasing uptake in vaccination (more than 90% in babies [hello herd immunity theory!]), instances of whooping cough are still on the rise..."

Hang on, what? Shouldn't they be on the decline? Doesn't Higher Vaccination Rates= Less Disease??? :giggle:Isn't that what they keep telling us??!

".....(Bronwyn) Hancock says the instances of increasing cases are directly related to the vaccines themselves. "These treatments are counterproductive and the vacines are creating the problem to start off with" she says "The outbreaks always occur and start out in the vaccinated".

MT, just curious if you had any info/links regarding Bronwyns comments about the vaccines being the cause for the increase of cases? My mum (the naturopath) was taught that the ingredients in the vaccines are responsible for lowering the natural immunity making an individual more susceptible, but she doesn't have any current data as she specialises in Women's Health now so that's her main focus :)

You could send the original scanned image to one of us via email. I can put it up via ftp so the original size is kept and is easier to read.
